What I like about NDMHCA: I appreciate the relationships I have formed with other professionals across the state through my involvement with NDMHCA. The networking is useful in order to bounce ideas and thoughts off others who work in different areas of the state and with different populations using different techniques. It is also useful for referral purposes – I have utilized the contacts I have made through the association numerous times to refer clients, family and friends to people who I know and with skills that I trust. Being a leader in NDMHCA has allowed me to grow and learn to face challenges. I am not an extrovert and without the opportunities presented to me as a leader in our organization I would have missed out on wonderful experiences.
